Problem Note 36710: Selected variables are replaced by all variables after refreshing data in the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office
In Microsoft Excel, your selected variables might be replaced by all variables when you choose to refresh the data. This problem can occur if the variables appeared and were selected in the Modify Data Source dialog box as explained next:
- The variables were listed either in data set order or alphabetical order on the Available Variables tab.
- You selected just the first variable in the list, or you selected a contiguous group of variables starting with the first variable in the list.
- You opened these selected variables, in their original order, into the worksheet.
Under the circumstances above, when you refresh the data, all variables display instead of your selected variables.
This problem is planned to be fixed in a forthcoming maintenance release of the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office.
